Moondance Resort is located at 402 Carolina Blvd., Isle of Palms, South Carolina 29451. Go out your
back door, walk 150 yards and you will find yourself on a five-mile stretch of one of the most beautiful
and pristine white sand beaches in the world. There are only residential homes on the beach near our
house -- no hotels or other businesses -- so the beach remains quiet and relatively un-crowded, even
in the height of summer.

Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Intra-coastal Waterway, the Isle of Palms (IOP) is a classic
family-oriented beachfront community. With its broad beaches, breathtaking ocean, spectacular salt
marsh scenery and full-service, deep-water marina offering a full range of charters, site seeing tours,
and equipment rentals, the Isle of Palms is an ideal destination for a romantic getaway or fun-filled
family vacation. The IOP Pavilion offers a wide assortment of waterfront restaurants, boutiques, and
bars - providing castaways with hours of entertainment. The IOP Recreation Department maintains a
public gym, tennis courts, volleyball court, soccer field, wonderful playground and picnic areas - all
free for the public. Explore the neighboring barrier islands with a popular tour to the Bull Island Wildlife
Refuge, which is home to red wolves, storks, and loggerhead sea turtles. Or try parasailing, horseback
riding, biking, kayaking or any number of other activities nearby.

Only 10 minutes from the house, the world famous Wild Dunes Golf and Tennis Club offers recreational
opportunities for all ages, from championship golf courses and professional tennis courts, to oceanfront
bike paths and private beach clubs. Or drive across the scenic IOP Connector to shop, stroll and browse
the stores at Mount Pleasant Town Centre, a nouveau-traditional uptown shopping district. Just 20
minutes away is Charleston, one of the most beautiful and historic cities in America. Charleston offers
world-class cultural events, fantastic aquarium, IMAX Theater, the Waterfront Park, fabulous restaurants,

How to Get Here

By Train: Amtrak has regular service to Charleston from major cities. Taxicab or limousine service to IOP
can be arranged with advance notice.

By Air: Charleston International Airport, approximately 30 minutes from the Isle of Palms, is served by
Continental, Delta, Northwest, USAirways, United Express, American Eagle and Airtran. If your city is
served by Airtran, they usually have the best rates. Limousine service requires 24 hours advance notice.
Rental cars are recommended while on the island.

By Car: From I-95, take I-26 East for approximately 45 minutes to I-526. Take Exit 212-C to I-526 East
and travel 12 miles to Mount Pleasant. Take the exit for Highway 17 North towards Georgetown. Follow
Hwy. 17 for approximately 2 miles. Just past the Bi-Lo and Bank of America turn right onto Highway 517,
the Isle of Palms Connector. Follow the connector to a light at the intersection with Palm Blvd. and turn
right onto Palm Blvd. Follow Palm Blvd. for approximately 6 blocks, and turn left on 5th street. The next
right is Carolina Blvd. Follow Carolina until you see number 402 and you are there!
